I went back in time one May morn, Made love to a maid in the corn, And what do you know! After nine months or so, It turned out that Tiddy was born.

I travelled back twenty years more, Again found a girl for to score, A new kid was born, a Girlie, named Lorna... I'll leave you to work out the stor-y.

That's right, i'm my own real grandpaw, And though it be "iffy" in law, You'll have to admit, On consid'ring a bit, My logic here hasn't a flaw.

The old song "I'm my own grandpa" was simply the story of a widowed man and his son, who met a widow and her daughter. The old man married the daughter, the son wed her mother. Thus the son's mother-in-law was also his step-daughter. Hence the old man was this son's step-son, or his own grandson.
A science fiction story took the time travel aspect, and in a plot far more complex than mine, The narrator travelled back in time several times, had a sex-change operation, and it turned out that the narrator and both his parents were one. A sort of unholy trinity. .
I am told that the story was: "Child by Chronos" -- Charles L. Harness, Fantasy & Science Fiction, June 1953, or more jprobably, "All You Zombies" by Robert Heinlein, from the same era.
